I just recently visited Vizio Optic for new everyday frames - and will be picking up my new glasses in about a week or so. I cannot say enough good things about the entire experience start to finish. I live in Rhode Island and visited MANY eyewear shops without finding what I was looking for...namely great looking tortoise shell glasses w/a great shape and WITHOUT any ornamentation on the sidepieces. I also have a new prescription and have to get progressive lens for the first time, so I also wanted to make sure I was dealing with a reputable shop. Needless to say, with so many failed attempts at finding glasses, I had big hopes for Vizio Optic & and they did not disappoint!!
When I entered the store, I was greeted by a wonderful saleswoman who asked my whether I would like some assistance or whether I preferred to explore on my own. It's a customer's dream to be presented with such a respectful opening. After I asked for some assistance, she suggested that we take the following course of action: Based on my stated likes & dislikes, she would pick out some selected styles; afterwards I could go and explore on my own, and then we would regroup to see where we were. Immediately it was clear that she understood my preferences. The 1st option was a great shape but has a little too much pattern; the 2nd option had the perfect tortoise shell, but not the best shape;; and on the 3rd she hit a homerun - it was exactly what I was looking for! Despite my squealing with delight, there was no sense of hurry involved, and they continued to show me other options...just to make sure the 3rd was indeed the right selection. Another young woman helped us out with the sizing and prescription details - and she was equally thoughtful, friendly, helpful, and good humored as the 1st saleswoman. They let me know it would take about 2 weeks for the glasses to be ready and I left positively elated that I had found my dream specs!
My glasses were ready just ONE week later (so nice for a business to over deliver!), and when I came in to pick them up I was treated to a complimentary gift bag with a cleaning cloth, cleaning solution and chocolate. And the glasses are perfect! I would recommend Vizio Optic to anyone and everyone! |

Best customer service ever expericenced
I am here in China and bought a pair of Lindberg glasses months ago. Unluckily, it cannot fit me perfectly cause I chose the wrong size. Vizio promised to switch me a better size. Then they reordered from Denmark and resent it to me. Anyway, it is a troublesome thing
, but I was totally satisfied with their service. Special thanks to their CS specialist Hilary. Will shop at Vizio again in the future. |

Thumbs up for the review!
It’s been a week since I received this very special pair of Studio FB glasses and it has been amazing. The woody plastic texture still impresses me every time. So far, everything is going great for this pair of glasses! I've looked at crazy collection of frames online, I have to say that these are really, really great. I scout for designer frames often but nothing beats what I've seen from Vizio. I hope to purchase more exuberant pieces in the future. The best online shopping experience, ever. |

"Wow" pretty much sums it up.
I’m no stranger to scouring the internet to find what I need or want, and online purchases are definitely the norm for me. Thus, I’m pretty numb to the cold and automated way that business is done via that medium. Thus, to put it mildly, I was pretty blown away by my experience with Vizio Optic. Every step of my order was handled not only by a real human being (thanks Hilary!), but with the utmost care and detail. Whether it was the extremely friendly and reassuring (I had a slight concern after I placed my order) email correspondence that I received throughout the course of my order, the beautiful way my glasses were packaged, or the hand-written note accompanying them, I was pretty much universally taken back, and several times thought to myself, “Wow… you just don’t see this kind of customer service anymore.” To be completely honest, the customer service of this place immediately reminded me of Zappos, and if you’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with their customer service reps, you really know just how big of a compliment that is. Whatever your business with Vizio Optic, one thing is certain: you will be treated amazingly; can’t recommend them enough, and I look forward to ordering from them in the future! |

Great selection of beautiful frames from lots of lesser-known European designers (as well as Chanel and other more well-known ones). Every time I've been here I have had extremely pleasant encounters with their staff, who are all patient and knowledgeable. No staff member has ever been pushy or rude, and all have been helpful without being imposing. The frames and lenses are not cheap, but you do get what you pay for: advice and help from experienced employees and a very high quality product. Definitely worth supporting this local business and their well-chosen designers, even though it's more expensive than going online. I got a great pair of glasses, and with a student discount and a Yelp deal they were actually quite affordable. Great place! |

Excellent Customer Service!
I was in desperate need of progressive lenses (both regular and sunglasses) and didn't know where to turn. I have complex prescription and needed it done right! Vizio Optic delivered! I'm not a "name" shopper, I'm a quality shopper and I found it with Vizio. Excellent customer service, and quick help when I needed a eye exam as well. I absolutely LOVE my Face a Face glasses! I've worn glasses my entire life and never have had a purchasing experience like this - Kudos to the entire staff! Thank you! I can see again! I will definitely be back! |

If you are in need of a GREAT optical store in the Boston area - then search no further. Vizio Optic in the heart of Brookline, MA is your destination. They offer a great selection of brands from all over the world. I just purchased a pair of ic! Berlin, which I might add, cannot be found easily around the city. Although brands such as, Gucci and Armani are of quality, those brands can be found in most optical stores. This store is different in comparison to all others because of the uniqueness of the brands they carry. Dr. Rabkin is one of the most pleasant and kind people you can work with. Her staff is more than qualified to work with the most discerning customers. I happened to work with Erin who was amazing. No pressure made it a great experience. They are honest people with a smile. When I moved to Boston from Boca Raton, FL. I needed to find a good optician for obvious reasons and saw that Vizio Optics was listed at the top of "Best of Boston" Magazine. I experienced why they have won the award several times in it's category the past few years - now you should |

I have to say I love my glasses I got at Vizio. The staff were very helpful yet not overbearing. Felt very comfortable casually looking at frames and all my questions were answered. Since I got my glasses, I am amazed at how many people tell me they love them. I work in customer service and on a daily basis I have 10 to 20 people tell me they love my glasses or ask where I got them. I highly recommend Vizio Optic. I already have my next frames picked out! |

I recently visited Boston with my family friend. We went to Harvard Street and visited Vizio Optic eyeglasses store. What can I say - it's fabulous. We also found out that they have an online eyeglass store too. I was very impressed with the collection of glasses what they have and their customer service was great. I never thought that I need sun glasses but I loved the Face a Face sunglasses and bought them. I recommend definitely you to visit http://www.viziooptic.... and see their collection of eyeglasses and sunglasses even before you go there so you can even prepare ahead for what you will see at their shop. |

By far the best optometrist and glasses shop I've been to. Erin and Dr. Rabkin are great, I ended up with the best pair of glasses I've ever owned. Whenever I need new nose pieces they do a quick gratis check up and the glasses are like new. They also went the extra yard, actually the extra hundred yards, in helping me to get clip on sunglasses that worked. I love Vizio optic. |

My family has been going to Vizio for several years. (Five pair of adult glasses, one child's glasses, two sets of contacts.) They stand by what they sell, and we have always been satisfied that we received good value for the price. This is a high end store. Their prices are right in line with others offering the same products.
I believe Vizio has improved their focus on customer satisfaction over the last few years. I always feel good in their beautiful store. |

These guys are awesome. It's a high-end shop, no question, so you should bring your wallet when you come. But they have a really interesting selection of frames and sunglasses that I haven't seen anywhere else. And their service is just terrific. I've ended up buying four pairs of glasses from them in the past six months (two of them having been lost or stolen)! Erin and colleagues were both sympathetic and humorous about it all, in addition to being great with communication, deadlines and advice. They are highly recommended!! |

I'm always on the hunt for unusual frames. I've gone to Vizio a few times and love them. They have a great selection and their eyewear is priced competitively. Recently I bought a pair of Lafont frames while visiting NYC and just needed to have lenses put in them. I did some comparison pricing for my progressive lenses at a few places--a major chain, a local independent optician, and Vizio. Vizio gave me the lowest price of all and did a beautiful job fitting the lenses. Service at Vizio is excellent. Dr. Rabkin knows her stuff--she spotted a problem with my prescription from another optometrist and tested/corrected my prescription at no extra charge. I've always come away from Vizio happy. |

I can see why Vizio has been named Best of Boston for 5 years running - what a wonderful experience. Over the years, I've had some bad experiences at the chain eyeglass stores (see my review of Cambridge Eye Doctors in Watertown), but Vizio put a stop to that. Great selection, helpful and friendly staff, and pleasant atmosphere. Yes, my glasses were a little pricey, but well worth it. They under promised and over delivered - my two pairs of glasses were ready in under a week. Upon picking them up, I was surprised to receive them in a nice little shopping bag (tissue paper and all) which also contained cleaning solution, a cloth (both of which other stores try to upsell you on), and chocolate. Chocolate?! Who does that? Bravo Vizio, you have yourself a new customer for life. |

This was my first pair of prescription sunglasses despite being a glasses wearer for many years. I am totally impressed with the product and the customer service. The salespeople went ABOVE and BEYOND to get my glasses crafted and shipped before I left for a long vacation. They were in constant touch with the lab and even their FedEx representative to ensure that things arrived on time. (the rush was due to the fact that they normally have a 7-10 lead time and I was right on the cusp) The glasses I purchased were pricey for sure but seeing as my prescription has been the same for a while, I see them as an investment. They are gorgeous and very unique Chanel frames that I have not found at any other optic store. They are classy and have a very unique shading effect on the lenses which the lab executed perfectly. If you're looking for cheap, throwaway sunglasses, then you should stick to the chain-type stores. However, if you're looking for true quality and don't mind making an investment, the products and service at VIZIO Optic will not disappoint. I will absolutely return! |

I came to Vizio Optic because they carry the Mykita line of frames. I'd seen Vizio's good reviews on Yelp, and I received very professional help in choosing and ordering a new set of glasses. I bought some great-looking Mykita frames, but I had a problem seeing clearly with the lenses of my new glasses. Though the problem turned out to be with the prescription I brought from my own optometrist, Dr. Rabkin did everything possible to make sure I was happy--including an eye exam and new lenses, both free of charge. I've been wearing glasses for a long time, and I've never before had the kind of care and service I got from Dr. Rabkin at Vizio. Plus,I love my new Mykitas. |

I can't say enough about the service and the glasses I purchased at Vizio. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. I bought a pair of alain mikli frames and they are well worth the money I spent. They are very stylish, I get compliments on them weekly, and they are indestructible. They are extremely comfortable. I even went back to get them converted into progressives, and the process was smooth and fast. I will definitely go back to Vizio again, when I need new glasses. I have been wearing glasses for 38 years and this is the best pair of glasses I have ever had. Also the most beautiful. |

After learning Lens Crafters sold poor quality over-priced eyeglasses with a label slapped on them, I started searching for glasses that would last... I've gone through a few pairs of eyeglasses from Lens Crafters, labeled "Versace." They were poorly fitted frames that squeezed my temples. I'm near-sighted and wear glasses every single day, so I need a really durable pair. My Versace frames lasted only a year like the rest of them. I was set on buying the simple and exclusive MYKITA frames, that not many stores sold but fortunately, VIZIO Optic does. The store was brightly lit, well organized, many mirrors, and even though it was a Sunday evening several other people were already browsing their selection. I was immediately greeted by a kind sale associate who guided me a bit before returning back to another customer. They had a wide range of trendy, bendable, colorful, eyeglasses. Many of the brands were European and pretty much all of the frames were very light. They also have this machine where you take your picture while wearing a pair of eyeglasses, for better idea of how it looks on you. I'm very picky when it comes to frames, but the sales associates were very patient (did not rush me even though their store was closing soon) and helpful in my 2 1/2 hour browse for the right pair for me. About 2 weeks later, my MYKITA eyeglasses came and I couldn't have been more pleased. They didn't squeeze my temples, were light, bendable, simple, and I will soon see if it's "indestructible" as this brand claims to be. Over all, I will definitely be returning for some prescription sunglasses. |
